Imax or small-size movie theatres are going digital. Do you show the movie on something like an LCD screen, then shine a light through it to project onto the movie screen? Do they have colored laser beams that scan like a TV screen?

I think they are 8MM movie film. Need to know what machine I would need to get to play the tapes on. These films used to be played on movie projectors

Looking for a typical range for the cost of the projector and whatever sound system would typically come with it, not including any structure, screen, or the film itself. If it makes a difference, I'm specifically interested in the theoretical cost to an individual, not a commercial purchase.

I am a mural artist and my 7 year old has far outgrown his Sesame Street Mural and we are getting ready for a room makeover. He wants another mural but is having a hard time deciding if he wants a Star Wars themed room or an Army Themed room. So to compromise what I plan to do is paint an army theme on his wall and then install a pull down movie projector screen over the mural and actually paint the screen with a star wars theme mural
